it is midway through december, and though it feels a bit more like october or march, at kismet, we are gearing up for a big celebration! As many of you know, 2011 was a rather difficult year for us & most of vermont- perhaps the most difficult year kismet has seen since we began years ago.
please join us for an evening of celebration! 2011 is over! & a NEW YEAR will unfold before us! please join us in our 1 year anniversary at our new location, and entering our 6th year in business!
we will have dinner service as usual until 9 pm, followed by a brief intermission from 9 till 10- re opening at 10 pm with music, guest celebrity bartender, and a 1 dollar oyster bar & free passed vegetarian apps!

re-open AGAIN for business

As many of you know, recent flooding has brought depths of destruction & loss throughout vermont. Roads, bridges, homes, farms and businesses were flooded, severely damaged, and in some cases, washed away completely & there is still much work to be done to repair our communities...

At kismet, we also flooded- AGAIN-. Though we were more prepared than we were for flooding in May, we still lost valuable and essential equipment, inventory, and the ability to operate the business as usual. We are so thankful to the staff and friends of kismet who rallied AGAIN and came to help quickly- unfortunately, however, this event has had deep effects on kismet, the farmers we work with, and the space we need to work in.
In light of these events,
kismet is now open on an abbreviated schedule, until next spring.
In the meantime, we will be redesigning our kitchen and dining room to accommodate our storage needs & replace essential equipment, so that come spring, we'll be strong and ready for a new year.
